NaNoWriMo 2017: Writing Soundtrack

I’ve participated in National Novel Writing Month almost every year since 2008 (I skipped in 2010 while working on my undergraduate thesis and cowrote last year using a different account) and have found that, no matter what, the soundtrack I listen to ends up being one of the most important parts of my process.

Honestly, this is actually fairly true of anything I write, which is why both my normal writing process and my NaNo history are scattered with playlists. (I’ve got some in iTunes, some in Spotify, and probably a few more elsewhere that I can’t think of at the moment.)

I’ve attempted to work on A Night Full of Red every NaNo since 2014, but this year, I’m not doing a proper draft: I’m rewriting old versions of the draft to incorporate some major changes my writing partner and I have implemented. On November 1, I started not at Chapter 1, but at the beginning of Chapter 8.

Anyway, here’s the playlist Emi and I have been curating since early 2014, which was when we started developing the verbal shitposting that turned into this book.
