25 August: Contributions

I had two articles posted on myUT today!

Both were in Monday’s print issue of UT News.

Yesterday, an article was posted on myUT (printed on Monday also) about this year’s Music Fest event at UT, which I wrote.  It’s got 30 Facebook Likes, so I’m pretty excited – it’s hard to get even one or two on an article!

I guess you could say it’s been a big publishing week for me.  Enjoy!

18 August: Updates and More

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know about some of the changes I’ve made to the blog recently.

  • Links page: added Find Me section – As I’ve started to amass a variety of personal sites, I thought I should probably link up everything in one place, so I added a new section.
  • Theme change: the most obvious change is to the theme.  I decided that since it’s about time for a new semester at the University of Toledo – and my last year here – it’s time for a new look.  I thought this one was rather pretty.  Right?
  • About page: made some minor changes – I made some promises of new content but eventually decided I’d rather not run that type of content.  I also made some grammar changes I previously had overlooked.
  • Hidden Skills page: I want to reconstruct the Skills page, so that’s going to be down for a while until I figure out what I need to do with it.

I hope you enjoy the new look and layout!

25 July: Updates

I have a little bit of fun new info for everyone!

In news articles…

  1. Emergency workers to be honored on wall – Dr. Frank Foss, Dorothy Hussain, and Timothy Shiltz will be honored in a ceremony tomorrow.
  2. College of Nursing students volunteer at ADA Zoo Day – A group of students from UT’s College of Nursing are volunteering at ADA Zoo Day at the Toledo Zoo today.

I’ll try to post more information next week as well.

31 May 2011: Contributions

Today, the first summer issue (and my first staff issue!) of the UTNews newsletter has been released, and some of my work was posted on the website!  (I’m always excited to see my name on something.)

The first article is about UT professor Barbara Alice Mann, who helped create and continues to staff an award-winning literary journal.  The literary journal, “Literature of the Early American Republic,” is one of the only journals covering the literature of writers such as James Fenimore Cooper.

The second article, to which I contributed, is about the second Women’s Leadership Forum sponsored by several UT and non-UT organizations.

Definitely take some time to check out these two articles.  Both are things for the University of Toledo to be proud of.
