August 2013 Review

This summer, I’ve been lucky enough to get the opportunity to read plenty of books (which is good for my 100 Books challenge.) With 16 books in June and 12 more in July, my pretty dismal-looking count made it into the 50s, and I started Book #54 on August 1.

Of the books I read in August, though, I think I enjoyed TRANSCENDENCE by C. J. Omolomu the most.  Check back in September for my extended review of the book.  There were some other great books, too, and

It was also nice to get a shoutout from Mike Martinez on his blog.  You have to squint to find it, but definitely go find his page – Mike was a guest writer on my blog a few years ago for NaNoWriMo, and he’s pretty cool.  His book THE DAEDALUS INCIDENT is now out in digital and print, so hunt through your local bookstore to find one!  (My copy is waiting patiently to be read.)

There’s a lot to look forward to as we move into September, including the start of my second year of graduate school. I’ll be a guest on the September episode of the Comics Squee podcast, which airs September 14.

All in all, September’s going to be an incredibly exciting month – I’m looking forward to seeing what lies ahead!
